Library Home: Book Pick-Up

• Requests must be made from the library catalog
  • We will not accept phone, email, or chat requests
• Ebooks, journals, and reserve items cannot be requested for pick-up
• Requests can only be made for books from your local campus library
  • To request books from the other campus, please use ILLiad
• Books must be picked up within 10 days 
• Due date calculated starting from the day the request was made
• Please allow 3-5 days for requests to be processed

1. Go to the library catalog
2. Login with your MWU username and password
3. Search for the book you would like to request
4. Click on Request
5. Select your campus as the pick-up location
6. Fill in Date to Cancel If Not Filled By
7. Click Request Selected Item
8. You will see a confirmation that your request was successful
9. Search for another item to request or logoff
10. You will receive an email when your request is ready to be picked up

Requests must be made through the library catalog. We will not accept requests via phone, email, or chat.

• Please allow 3-5 days for requests to be processed
• Books must be picked up within 10 days
• Bring your Midwestern ID when you come to pick up your books

If you made a pick-up request, but no longer need the books, please cancel your request so the books can be made available to others.

To cancel all the books you requested:

1. Login to the library catalog
2. Click Cancel All below the list of titles you have on hold
3. Click Yes to cancel all your requests

To cancel some of the books you requested:

1. Login to the library catalog
2. Check the box next to the titles you wish to cancel
3. Click Update List
4. Click Yes to cancel the selected titles

Glendale: Please return your books to the book drop or at the library front desk

Downers Grove: Please return your books to the book drop or at the library front desk
