Using EndNote Online: Attaching PDFs

Attach files to your citation record(s). By attaching the PDF of the article, you can have access to it from any device!

Finding Full-Text PDFs from EndNote Online

  1. Locate the yellow Get It @ MWU button (get it at mwu button            ) under the title of a reference in EndNote.
    • The button may look broken and say "Context Sensitive Links" but it still works.
    • Don’t see the ‘Get it @ MWU’ button? 
      1. Log out of EndNote, and go to Web of Science from the library homepage.
      2. In the black menu bar at the top, click Products.
      3. Select EndNote.
      4. Log in to EndNote Online.
      5. The button should now appear. If it doesn’t, clear your browser cache or try a different browser.
  2. Click the Get it button (get it at mwu button) follow the prompts: 
    • If the library has full text, you can download the PDF to your device
    • If the library does not have full-text, you will see a 'Request from ILLiad button.' Order the article for free with the interlibrary loan system, ILLiad. Attach the article to the reference record in EndNote Online after it arrives in your ILLiad account.

Attaching PDFs

  1. Once you have the PDF full-text, click on the paperclip icon under the title of a reference.

  3. In the pop up box, click Attach files
  4. Search your computer for relevant article(s) to attach. 
  5. Click Upload
  6. Close the dialog box when you are finished.
