EndNote 21 uses groups to organize references by project, subject, etc. A new library begins with a single editable group set titled My Groups. You can create up to 5,000 group sets in your EndNote library
Groups is the best way to keep track of different projects you are working on as you can only sync and share one library
[Unfiled] is the default location for references not placed in a specific group
Group sets can contain any combination of custom groups, smart groups, and combination groups.
Some Groups are created temporarily and will not appear when you reopen the library.
Some groups are default with the program. You cannot rename these groups.
Please contact a librarian@midwestern.edu if you have questions on using and storing EndNote libraries
Please send an inquiry to Clarivate if you are not finding an answer to your issue
