Using EndNote 21: Sharing Libraries & Groups

Instructions for setting up libraries, CWYW and sharing libraries using EndNote 21 by Clarivate.

Library Sharing in EndNote 21

The library sharing feature in EndNote 21 allows you to share your library with up to 400 other EndNote desktop users.

You will need to have an EndNote Online account if you want to share references with collaborators

  1. Select File then Share
  2. EndNote sharing window opens
  3. Input the email of an EndNote desktop user you would like to grant access to your EndNote Library
  4. Check that the email address of the sharee is what they use to log into EndNote Online

You may set this up before the user has their EndNote account set up but you have to know what email address they will be using

Sharing Libraries and Groups

EndNote 21 users can share an entire library with or just a group with other EN users. View the videos below to see the steps to sharing a library or a group with another EndNote user.
